Spring 2012

Our first meeting of the new year is January 12th, when our readings are as follows: John Cheever, "Clancy in the Tower of Babel", and from scripture, Genesis 11: 1-9; 18: 16-33; 19: 1-26.

We have now exhausted four major anthologies of 20th century American short story. As a group, we made the decision to pair our scripture reading with short stories of Faulkner, O'Connor, Singer and Cheever. Please find bibliographic information below. All anthologies are available from Amazon. Obviously, they will also be available from other major booksellers. As well, Mary at the Annapolis Bookstore can get them for you.
