Life in Balanace - Benedictine Gatherings
The Anne Arundel Community of Reconciliation
at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church
The Community of Reconciliation is an ecumenical network of individuals seeking radical balance in life and a deepening commitment to reconciliation in the world.
The Community introduces the rhythms and harmony of a monastic environment to our own experiences—family, the workplace, and daily life in a complex world--as we integrate Benedictine spiritual foundations and practices into daily living.
We host a weekly gathering, Life in Balance, to experience silence and to welcome the presence of the Spirit. We practice hospitality and intentional listening. We welcome the unexpected, and the sacred in the everyday. Over the weeks and months we rinse ourselves with Benedictine rhythms until they transform us. Ultimately we recognize that true change in the world comes first from a transformed heart.
We gather every Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at St. Anne’s Church in the choir room (to the left as you enter the front door of the church). Participants who wish to continue the discussion are invited for fellowship from 12:00-1:00 PM on the first Thursday of the month. All backgrounds, faith traditions and perspectives are welcome!
