At the May vestry meeting on May 11, Amy told the vestry that she had offered the position of Associate to The Rev. Joe Pagano, PhD. Joe is her husband and currently rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Baltimore City. I want the parish to know that I wholeheartedly support Amy and Joe in their decision. He will be a great addition to the staff. He will bring many gifts to the ministries at St. Anne’s. Joe is a wonderful, solid choice because he is well known in the diocese and the two of them have worked together in the past. Since Amy’s arrival, I have experienced an exciting renewal of the Holy Spirit moving among us. With Joe joining the staff and with the two of them at the helm, the Spirit will move even deeper into the life and ministries of our parish. I offer my personal congratulations to both of them with their decision, and I also thank the vestry for their wisdom in supporting Amy. I feel that Joe is answering God’s call to come to St. Anne’s.
