Welcome to St. Anne's
Summer Sycamore Tree for Children
The last day of Children's Sunday Discovery and Youth Circle will be Sunday, May 8th; but formation for children doesn't end because it is summer. Children may join Sunday services for the Sycamore Tree! Through the summer we are offering children's worship at 9:30 and 11:15 AM and 5:30 PM. The Sycamore Tree is designed for children who are 8 years old and younger. There is a children's lesson based on the Gospel; prayers, and music. We hope your child can join us.
Deacon John Kenny
The Rev. John Kenny, our deacon, is being assigned to a new position in our diocese. As of June 1, 2016, John will become the official Episcopal Chaplain at Ginger Cove.
John Kenny has been assigned to St. Anne’s Church and St. Andrew’s Church in Pasadena since 1998—18 years. Those of you who know John will not be surprised to hear that John is still not finished with active ministry. He is being reassigned from St. Anne’s in order to accept a new position.
On May 22, following the 9:30 Eucharist, our fellowship time in the church yard will be in honor and celebration of John and his ministry as deacon at St. Anne’s Church. Please plan to come and offer your greetings and thanks to John and his wife Fritzi. If you would like to volunteer to help by contributing food for our fellowship that day, please contact Paula Waite firstname.lastname@example.org. If the weather isn’t nice enough to be in the church yard on May 22, we’ll gather in the parish hall instead.
