Musical Groups

St. Anne's has two choirs. Under the direction of conductor Ernie Green, our Senior Choir is composed of over 50 members. The Senior Choir provides most of the music for our 9:45 a.m. worship service. The Senior Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Skylight Room of the Parish House

The Junior Choir, run by Jill Woodward, provides opportunities for young people to get involved in the music ministry of St. Anne's. On Sundays, at the 9:45 a.m. service after communion, we will meet in the back of the church and go to the parish house together. If you've never been in the Jr. Choir but would like more information, please plan to join us after church. We hope to see you there! During the summer, the choirs combine to form an informal "Family Choir." This is an excellent opportunity to get involved if you would like to try out singing in a choir because during the summer there are no rehearsals except on Sunday mornings before the service.

New members are always welcome, and, if you prefer to just sit and listen for a while before making a decision to join in, that is fine too. Music will be provided.

Instrumental music for church services and other events is frequently provided by Church Circle Consort. This group is a collection of instrumentalist, including strings, winds and percussion that range from amateur to professional and beginners to lifetime musicians. Interested participants are grouped appropriately with other instruments or arrangements are made for solo performances and accompaniment with piano. A brass choir meets regularly on Thursday’s at 7pm in the Parish House and a string trio meets at arranged times. Other groups are formed for specific performances and as the need arises.
