Why do people come to St. Anne’s?
People have always come to St. Anne’s for a wide variety of reasons. If you ask anyone who has been a part of the church for a while, they will give you a slightly different answer about why they came to St. Anne’s and why they stayed here.
Some people come because they want to find a place for their families. They want a place where their children can have fun, explore their own faith, and be safe. They want to feel connected to a community that will support them in the good times as well as in times of sickness, sorrow, or loss.
Some people come to St. Anne’s because they want to grow spiritually. They find that our worship enriches their prayer life, they find people who can help them grow on their spiritual journey. They find a place that asks them to take an active role in that journey rather than insisting on a few simple points of dogma.
They want to feel connected to a community that will support them
Some people come because they want to give back to their community. Jesus preached a message of loving one’s neighbor, and much of what we do is finding ways to reach out and make someone else’s life a little bit better. St. Anne’s has always prided itself on being an important part of the local community as well as a part of those broader communities of the Church, the nation and the world.
Whatever you are looking for in a church home, or even if you are just looking to visit on a single Sunday, we hope that you find it here. We look forward to getting to know you.
