May will be CPR month at St. Anne’s!

CPR
Classes are scheduled for all Family and Friends topics as well as training on our new model automated electronic defibrillators (AEDs). If there is enough interest, we will also offer Heartsaver courses. These more involved classes require demonstrated competency, have a more formal text, and participants receive a card, good for two years that may be required for work in schools, on boats, with scouts and other youth groups, etc. (It is not what is required for health care providers) Both Heartsaver CPR/AED and Heartsaver First Aid are possibilities.
All classes will be held in room 102 of the parish house. The following classes are currently scheduled:

AED
- Family and Friends Adult/Child CPR – May 4, 7 – 9 PM; May 8, 10 AM -12PM; May 11, 2 – 4 PM. Cost for book and manikin supplies $5.00. Max 8 per class.
- Family and Friends Infant (up to 1 year) CPR – May 8, 1 – 3 PM; May 11, 4 – 6 PM; May 18, 7 – 9 PM. Cost for book and manikin supplies $5.00. May 8 per class. If taking both CPR classes, cost is $7.50, as you can use the same book.
- Family and Friends Pediatric First Aid – May 4, 2 – 4 PM; May 8, 3 – 5 PM; May 25, 7 – 9 PM. Max 8 per class. Cost for book and supplies is $5.00.
- AED Update – May 4, 4 PM; May 8th, 5PM; May 25, 6 PM open to all - recommended strongly for vestry members, ushers, and two or more people from each group that meets in the church or parish house when the staff is not available on site. There is no charge. Max 12 per class.
- The Heartsaver certification courses each last 3 hours and would cost $20.00. (The AACC charges $60.00). If both were taken, the cost would be $25.00, as you can use the same text book. These classes will be scheduled based on interest.

First Aid
To register for one or more of the scheduled classes, contact Rebecca, rlagatare@stannes-annapolis.org. Your registration is finalized when payment is received. Also contact Rebecca to indicate interest in one or both of the Heartsaver courses.
