Blessing of the Animals
All Creatures GREAT and small!
Saturday, September 26th at 10:00 a.m.

“Let all things their creator bless, and worship him in humbleness.”
These words found in our hymnal are attributed to St. Francis of Assisi whose feast day is October 4. Every year we celebrate him and the creatures he loved so much with a service of The Blessing of the Animals.
Hedgehogs, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, hermit crabs and turtles have all been present at previous celebrations and all creatures are welcomed.
(Creatures great and small should be safely secured with leashes or carriers for everyone’s sake)
Children without pets are invited to bring a stuffed animal they wish to have blessed.
