Being a Disciple

The Mazur, Pascal, Tempelton, Strang families, Dave, Lauren, and Tempest Strunge, Director of Children and Youth at St. Anne’s cook a Light House meal together in St. Anne’s Parish Hall kitchen.

Being a disciple is not for the faint of heart and is something that those who say they follow Jesus are called to do. As an Episcopalian, our Catechism speaks to the duty of Christians in the Outline of Faith as such:

“The duty of all Christians is to follow Christ; to come
together week by week for corporate worship; and to
work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of
God”.

One wonderful example of this discipleship has been our Family Light House Cooking. We have gathered various families to come and work, pray, and give of themselves to feed others, simply for no other gain. I believe that this is a wonderful example of discipleship happening at St Anne’s.
