  • Adult Forum: Faith & Ecology

In scripture, Creation is both a gift and a responsibility.

Today, closer to home, God has entrusted us with the gift and responsibility of the Chesapeake Bay. The Bay is both a gift and a responsibility entrusted to our care. Our fragile backyard ecosystem brims with God’s glory and also cries out for care and protection.

This fall, the adult forum will spend four Sundays exploring the Christian ethic of caring for creation. We will hear from Biblical scholars, local conservation leaders and authors, and take a field trip to St. Luke’s, Eastport. It is the prayer of the Adult Formation Committee that these conversations on ecology and faith will take us past the parish hall, influencing our daily lives and the welfare of the city in which we live.

  • Women’s Ministry & Bible Study

Women’s Bible Study is a source of scriptural learning and provides a community of support, encouragement, and prayer.

St. Anne’s Women’s Bible Study has a new format! There will be multiple “sessions” throughout the year. Each session will be five to six meetings built around a Biblical theme. Participants will be given the theme and the readings before the session begins.

Each new session may be on a different day, time, and place. Hopefully, any woman who wants to participate will be able to join at least one Bible study session during the year.

St. Anne’s Women’s Bible Study will start its next session in late August and will meet twice a month through early November. If you are interested in joining us, click the link below to contact Judy Guy for more information.

  • Men's Bible Study

The Men’s Bible Study is St. Anne’s longest running lay ministry. Dedicated to studying the Bible and the work of Christian theologians. Knowledge of the Bible is not a prerequisite. Encouraged is an open mind and heart, and a suspicion that paying closer attention to how scripture can model your life will put you in a better place. We meet by Zoom on Saturdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. For more information, please contact Wayne Adamson or Bob Sherer 410-266-1334.

On Demand Bible Studies

  • Revelation: The Victory of the Lamb

Join us on an on-demand pilgrimage we read the Book of Revelation. Christ will be ever present, writing letters and casting visions. Six sessions will cover St. John the Divine’s letter to the seven churches, the visual art inspired by Revelation, the hymnody of Revelation, Women in Revelation, and end with the Victory of the Lamb and reading Revelation responsibly.

  • The Bible Challenge

The Bible Challenge is an on-demand program that invites the laity of St. Anne’s to read through the bible. This program includes a list of readings and recorded discussions with scholars and theologians who shared their insights on passages and themes of interest. This program also includes recorded presentations by many of St. Anne’s ministries to see how God’s grand narrative of salvation and healing is at work in our daily lives.

Our hope is that by being aided by Christian and non-Christian thinkers, we will deepen our understanding of the sacred text, challenge our assumptions, find new ways to engage with God's Word and live our faith.

  • Acts of the Apostles

“And you will be my witnesses…”

Acts is one of the essential texts in the New Testament. Without it, we would not know the story of how the Christian community developed or how the faith spread from Palestine to Rome. St. Luke tells us that story in an action-packed narrative powered by the Holy Spirit. It is part two of his magnum opus; the first being the Gospel of St. Luke.

  • Gospel of Luke

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my savior!” This study includes the acclaimed film version of the gospel as we discuss verse-by-verse.
