Reflection on My First Women’s Bible Study at St. Anne’s

As a new resident of Annapolis and the Saint Anne’s community, I recently moved here from Nashville, Tennessee, where I had lived for the past 38 years. My relocation this past February was a joyful one, allowing me to be closer to my daughter, Kristin.

As I settled into my new surroundings, the women’s Bible study immediately caught my attention. It offered exactly what I was hoping to find: a way to deepen my spiritual journey and understanding of God’s Word, a place to connect with other women in the church and community, and an opportunity to share insights, questions, and reflections in a meaningful and supportive setting.

I’m happy to say that all of those hopes were fulfilled—and we’ve only just completed our first session! I’ve already experienced spiritual growth and found a warm, welcoming group of women who are not only friendly but deeply knowledgeable and committed to walking in faith. The environment has been uplifting, filled with genuine Christian fellowship and the love of God expressed through each participant.

A heartfelt thank-you to Judith Guy for generously hosting our first gathering in her home—it was the perfect setting for such rich and thoughtful conversation.

If you’re considering joining, I wholeheartedly encourage you to become part of this wonderful group in our upcoming sessions. I look forward to meeting new faces and continuing this journey together.

Blessings,
Judy Statham

St. Anne’s Women’s Bible Study will start its next session in late August and will meet twice a month through early November. If you are interested in joining the Women’s Bible Study, please contact Judy Guy at judy.guy@gmail.com for more information.
