Outreach with St. Anne’s

Naomi’s Village is a children’s home, pre-school, and K-12 academy in Maai Mahiu, Kenya, raising the next generation of Kenyan leaders. It is located in the Great Rift Valley about 1.5 hours northwest of Nairobi. The families served typically live on an average of less than $2 per day, suffer from generational poverty, and have no access to a quality education for their children.

St. Anne’s Support

St. Anne’s relationship with Naomi’s Village Kenya began in January 2019 after founders and CEOs’ Bob and Julie Mendonsa visited St. Anne’s and shared the inspiring story of their response to God’s call to Kenya.

In response, many St. Anne’s members and others in Annapolis felt compelled to take action to sponsor 65 children at Naomi’s Village and raise awareness in our community. Currently, more than 50 people are engaged with this vibrant ministry as child sponsors, one-time donors, missioners who have volunteered at Naomi’s Village, or in other awareness-building and supportive activities at St. Anne’s and within the Annapolis community.

Sponsorship Sunday: April 26, after the 10 a.m. service

Founders of Naomi’s Village, Bob and Julie Mendosa will be visiting St. Anne’s on Sponsorship Sunday, April 26 after the 10 a.m. service. All are welcome to learn more about Naomi’s Village and the students at Cornerstone Preparatory Academy.

Cornerstone exists to provide a holistic education to Kenyan children, both from Naomi’s Village Home and from community families struggling with the burdens of generational poverty. Our incredible Kenyan teachers and staff help children find their worth and discover their own unique gifts. With state-of-the-art facilities, engaging curriculum, character training programs, and built-in community outreach initiatives, our children will emerge hopeful, confident, and equipped to impact their community and nation for good.

Child Sponsorship

To provide all that is necessary for these children who come from backgrounds of trauma and lack and to educate them with excellence, it costs $250/month per child. Sponsors can give any amount that fits their budget, and our suggested amounts for sponsorship are $50, $75, $125, or the full $250. Every dollar moves these children closer to joining the path toward a brighter, more secure future for themselves and their families.

Can you help support these students?
