Celebrate the Feast of St. Luke with a Musical Offering of Faith
St. Anne’s is joyfully invited to join our friends at St. Luke's Eastport for a special celebration of the Feast of St. Luke on Sunday, October 19 at 3 p.m.
Experience the St. Luke’s Mass, a moving original composition by Dr. Ildar Khannanov, Associate Professor of Music Theory at Peabody Institute and Music Director and church organist at St. Luke’s. This liturgical masterpiece weaves together five languages and diverse musical styles, offering a rich tapestry of sound and spirit.
This will be the first full performance of the Mass in its entirety, presented as part of a Eucharistic service. It’s a rare opportunity to witness how music can beautifully express faith, reverence, and gratitude to God.
This performance will feature the St. Luke’s Choir and guest singers from Peabody Institute. Caleb Briggs, St. Anne’s Office Assistant and Discerning Ordained Vocation intern at St. Luke’s, and Claire Miller, St. Anne’s Ministry Associate and St. Luke’s Choir member, will be singing.
Let’s come together in worship, celebration, and community. All are welcome!
