Celebrating May Day with the Iron Rosary Ministry Team
With Joy in our hearts, Amy and Mary-Sophia from the Iron Rosary Ministry team invite children of all ages to join us in the church yard on the morning of May 1 as we join in the fun of May Day in Annapolis.
From 9-10 a.m., we will adorn our church yard with 30 Joyful , and no-doubt exuberant children from the PASA 2025 graduating class. We will be making May day arrangements with the 4 year-olds for the section of fence facing Main Street. Parents, grandparents, and parishioners are warmly welcomed to join in the fun. The children's arrangements may be picked up in the afternoon to take home, or they may be left on the fence, and the Iron Rosary team will clear them away when they start to wilt.
Once the children have left, Mary-Sophia and Amy will host our traditional Table of Joy for a couple of hours in the church yard (until we wilt). At the Table of Joy, Parishioners and passers by are encouraged to express themselves in the spirit of the season. Arts and craft supplies are available for those that wish to express themselves by decorating their prayers. Prayer will be laminated on the spot and hung on the fence. As always, plain payer cards will be available for the those wishing to write plain prayers. Children are offered the opportunity to make cards to take home as well as cards to place on the fence. We want our children to feel loved, welcomed, and appreciated, and to encourage them in their prayer life.
If it rains, we will gather in the Narthex to create our May Day prayer cards. ☔🌧️☺️
We are hoping friends will stop by for a hug or a quick hello. May the Joy of the Lord reside in your hearts today, and always.
