Celebrating Ministries & New Callings at St. Anne's - May 17

Join St. Anne’s as we gather in gratitude and joy to celebrate the ministries of three beloved staff members who are answering new calls in their lives.

The parish is warmly invited to attend the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday, May 17, as we recognize and honor these transitions in ministry. Cake will be served in the church narthex following the service, and all are welcome to stay and celebrate together.

The Rev. Kathy Shahinian

Deacon Kathy+ is officially stepping down from her role as St. Anne’s deacon as we honor diocesan rules for the diaconate ministry. While retiring from this role, she will continue her ministry in the world through full‑time work in the insurance industry. We have been deeply blessed by Deacon Kathy’s ministry of welcome and hospitality and look forward to her continued ministry in the world.

Tempest Strunge

Tempest has been called to a new ministry as a licensed counselor full‑time. St. Anne’s gives thanks for her leadership in children’s formation, her service as PASA’s chaplain, and the many ways her ministry with children and youth has been a blessing to this parish. While we will miss her presence in children’s formation, we trust that God has wonderful things in store for her ministry with teens and adults.

Caleb Briggs

Caleb has discerned a path toward ordination, and St. Anne’s is proud to be his sending parish. Over the past six years, Caleb has shared his gifts and talents as both a parishioner and staff member, including preaching and regular service at the altar. While we will miss his energy and presence, we praise God for his future ministry in the Church.

From the Book of Common Prayer, For the Right Use of God’s Gifts:

Let us pray.
Almighty God, whose loving hand hath given us all that we possess: Grant us grace that we may honor thee with our substance, and, remembering the account which we must one day give, may be faithful stewards of thy bounty, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
