Cemetery Survey Day April 18 & Greenscape Day April 25
Cemetery Survey Day
Join us as we continue surveying the cemetery to update grave locations using the Find A Grave app.
Cemetery Survey Day at St. Anne’s Cemetery - April 18
The Cemetery Committee continues to work in St. Anne’s Cemetery off Northwest Street to improve our knowledge of existing grave markers, including their precise location information. We are using the Find a Grave cellphone app to build on the survey work of many others to develop a database we can join with our documentary records.
Following up on our successful parish survey days last year, we invite the parish to join us in the cemetery on Saturday, April 18, from 10 am to 1 pm to survey a section of the center cemetery. Come when you can and stay as long or as little as you like! Participants should already have the app on their phone and an account in place. RSVP to Jay Thomas at jt9@att.net by April 12 for instructions on setting up the app and for logistical information like parking. We hope to do this again later this year, so if we’re rained out we won’t reschedule. We hope to see you there!
Greenscape Day at Cedar Bluff Cemetery - Saturday, April 25
Join St. Anne’s for a project GreenScape Day at Cedar Bluff Cemetery on Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m. We will help plant spreading perennial flowering plants provided to us by the City of Annapolis. Many hands make light work of getting the plants in the ground. All ages are welcome. Questions? Contact Ginger DeLuca at virginiacdeluca@gmail.com.
