CYSO Flute Ensemble - Sunday, March 8

We are delighted to welcome the CYSO (Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra) Flute Ensemble to our 10 a.m. service on Sunday, March 8. The ensemble will offer both the opening and closing voluntaries, featuring beautiful selections by Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms.

Under the direction of Gail Vehslage, the CYSO Flute Ensemble is a 20‑member group of exceptionally talented high school musicians performing on concert C flutes, alto flutes, bass flutes, and contrabass flutes, creating the rich sound of a full flute orchestra.

The ensemble has performed internationally and at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, the Maryland State House, the White House, and regularly at the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel, as well as in local concert halls.
