Epiphany Adult Forum Series: The Body of Christ Begins Jan 11
Epiphany Adult Forum Series: The Body of Christ – Begins Jan 11 at 11:30 a.m.
The Epiphany Adult Forum series will investigate the meaning of the apostle Paul’s image of the Body of Christ. The series begins Sunday, January 11th with pediatrician and theologian Dr. Patricia Fosarelli. Fosarelli’s newest book, “The Body of Christ Seen Through the Eyes of a Physician” approaches the body of Christ and its potential for flourishing within a 21st century understanding of medicine. On January 18th, we will hear reflections on caretaking from hospital chaplain, mental health professional and priest Rev. Caroline Stewart. The February 8th session will examine how disabled bodies are indispensable to Paul's Body of Christ, with reflections from Alfonso Sasieta of L’Arche D.C. The Epiphany Forum series concludes February 15th with a panel about practical theology. Anne Carlson, Dr. Al Strunk, and Lynn Motoro will each reflect on their vocation in medicine. Each session in the series will use the apostle Paul’s writings as a conversation partner with our lived reality in the 21st century. Join us at 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.
