Partners in Mission in Guatemala--Mother's Day
Mother’s Day is finally here – and the news is good! The St. Anne’s 2025 mission trip to Guatemala is on the books, scheduled for late July, when adults and teens will travel to the Highlands for a week of connection with the communities we serve. They will further our relationship, support self-determination, and make headway on the Water Infrastructure Project. There is much underway for this project – village census, budgeting, engineering, system design, learning from neighboring sites, and more. And much will be required of the village residents, both to help construct and to care for the new system.
And you can honor a special Mom by making a tax-deductible gift to help meet this spoken need for safe and plentiful water – to drink, to cook, to bathe, to farm, all the essentials of daily life in Chujulimul and neighboring villages. We estimate that piping a water spigot to each house costs about $250 in aggregate. Together, we support not just projects, but people—students, families, and elders—through lasting relationships.
St. Anne’s is amazing - more than 30 years of outreach and support for these villages! And so are each of YOU, whether a donor, a traveler, an advisor, or an interested supporter. Consider joining the PIMIG team - contact Kevin Hays for more information (kashays84@gmail). On behalf of the Guatemalan villages we serve and the PIMIG team, thank you for your generosity over the years. And let’s continue to honor the requests made by the emerging village leadership.
The PIMIG team will be at the church again this Sunday, Mother’s Day – stop by after the service. Make a gift of any amount in honor of Mom by check (note Guatemala in the memo line) or online at the St. Anne’s website (click on the DONATE button, scroll down to click on Donate using Realm, enter the amount and select Partners in Mission in Guatemala as the fund using the drop down menu).
We rejoice in your gift and in this project!
