St. Anne’s Children & Youth

Attention High School Seniors - Harrison Sayre Award

All graduating high school seniors who plan on attending a two or four college or university this year are invited to apply for the Harrison Sayre Award, given in memory of a life-long parishioner at St. Anne’s. The $1,500 award is intended to help defray the cost of textbooks and other expenses.

An applicant should have been a long-time active member in some aspect of St. Anne’s parish life – choir, acolytes, youth group, Sunday School, cooking for the Light House, etc. and active in the community. In addition to the application, a letter of recommendation from an adult at St. Anne’s under whom the applicant has served is required.

Applications will be available online in March and April and must be submitted by May 5. The selection committee consisting of members of the Sayre family, the memorials committee and one of our clergy will meet in May to select the award recipient.

The award will be announced during the 10 a.m. service on May 21. A check will be mailed to the recipient when he/she enrolls in the fall.
