The Very Rev. Joseph Bain-Doodu to preach on Sunday, February 1

On February 1, 2026, our preacher at the 8 and 10 a.m. services will be The Very Rev. Joseph Bain-Doodu. Dean Bain-Doodu is a prominent Anglican priest from Ghana who serves as the 10th Dean of Saint Nicholas Theological Seminary in Cape Coast, Ghana. The seminary is the only active one in the Anglican Province of West Africa. By training, he is a canon layer and serves in this role for the entire Church of the Province of West Africa. He undertook graduate study at Cardiff University in Wales. He also spent time studying in the Diocese of Portsmouth, UK, from 2009-2011. Dean Bain-Doodu will be a guest of the Virginia Theological Seminary and will preach at Christ Church, Georgetown, and St. Anne’s in Annapolis. As part of the 85-million-member Anglican Communion, we are delighted to welcome our brother in Christ to St. Anne’s in Annapolis.
