What Kind of Soil are You?
Listen & Reflect on Sunday, July 12th’s Sermon
In last Sunday's sermon, we heard Jesus' Parable of the Sower, and Fr. Dion invited us to consider a simple but profound question: What kind of soil are you? Yet the message goes beyond identifying ourselves as fertile, rocky, thorny, or dry. We are reminded that the spiritual life is not static—our relationship with God changes and grows over time, and God's grace continues to work within us through every season.
One of Fr. Dion’s most hopeful reminders is this:"No soil is irredeemably sterile in God's sight." Even when faith feels distant, or growth seems invisible, God is still planting seeds, nurturing them, and bringing them to fruition in ways we may not yet understand.
Take a moment to watch this short sermon clip and reflect:
What kind of soil do you feel like in this season of life?
Where might God be nurturing growth beneath the surface?
