A Seminarian’s Journey

Walking with Caleb on the Journey to Priesthood

One of the great joys of parish life is witnessing God's call unfold in the lives of those He raises up for ministry. As Caleb Briggs continues his formation for the priesthood, St. Anne's is honored to serve as his sending parish, supporting him through prayer, encouragement, and companionship along the way.

In the months ahead, Caleb will periodically share reflections from his journey, offering glimpses into the spiritual growth, challenges, discoveries, and experiences that are shaping him for ordained ministry. These letters are an invitation for our parish family to remain connected to his formation and to participate in it through our continued prayers.

We invite you to read Caleb's first letter below and join us in praying that God will continue to guide, strengthen, and form him as he responds to Christ's call.

Faithfully yours,
St. Anne's Episcopal Church

Dear Parish Family,

Enclosed you will find an open letter to the parish from St. Gregory’s Abbey, an icon card of St. Benedict, and my most recent schedule for those who are interested.

I apologize for the rustic method of my correspondence; the monks encourage simplicity of life (which can occasionally make it more complicated!).

I miss you all and hope all is well.

Faithfully yours,

Caleb Briggs, 7th Sunday after Pentecost
