Light House Food Pantry Collection in October

Thank you, St. Anne’s, we have delivered 120 bags of food to The Light House Food Pantry so far and many more have been dropped off at the shelter. Parishioners who have not had a chance to shop, etc. can bring food this Sunday, November 2 and thereafter, can take their donations directly to the Light House shelter at 10 Hudson St., Annapolis, MD 21401.  You can also donate in Realm or scan the QR code above. Donated funds will help purchase items still needed. Food is always needed and appreciated, especially with the government being shut down and the possibility that SNAP benefits for November 1 may be delayed.

I usually took the food from the 5:30 p.m. service to the shelter on Monday morning.  One Monday the staff person on duty said,"Oh! St. Anne's.  You guys are wonderful.  You do so much for us". A different Monday one of the directors was in the front office.  She asked me if I had seen the pantry.  She said it was so great to see it so full and commented that contributions were continuing to come in.

Thanks go to Page Lyon for help with the 8:00 a.m. service and Howard Buskirk for the 5:30 p.m. service, Carol Sayre and Dino Mattessich for help with the bags and taking some of the food to the shelter, Claire Miller for helping to design and for copying and Nancy Pollock for mailing my requests and thank you’s. Of course, a big thank you to Graul's for the donation of grocery bags.
