Connecting Names, Stories, and History - Cemetery Survey Day

The next Cemetery Survey Day will be in St. Anne’s Cedar Bluff Cemetery on Sunday, October 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. We are using the Find a Grave cellphone app to build on the survey work of many others to develop a database we can join with our documentary records. The layout of markers in Cedar Bluff is considerably more orderly than in St. Anne’s Cemetery, so hopefully we will make good progress. Participants should already have the app on their phone and an account in place.

RSVP to Jay Thomas at jt9@att.net by October 16 so we know to expect you, for instructions on setting up the app (if needed), and for logistical information like parking.

We hope to do this again next spring, so if we’re rained out we won’t reschedule. Come and go as your schedule permits if you can’t stay the whole time! We hope to see you there!

Every marker represents a person, a family, and a story. By helping document Cedar Bluff Cemetery, you are contributing to the ongoing work of preserving St. Anne's history and honoring those who helped shape our parish and Annapolis.
